EXPERT WITNESS & CONSULTANCY

I have been studying Nepal both in a professional and academic capacity since 2015, after completing a postgraduate degree in International Relations, particularly focusing on Nepali politics. I have lived in Nepal for an extended period for both academic and professional purposes. I have also worked in a charity for Nepalis living in the UK, and I have worked for Nepal-based NGOs, including running a year-long social enterprise project in Nepal. I also assist with translating complex Nepali documents as such official and court documents into English. I spent around six months in Nepal in 2024 for my PhD fieldwork during which I interviewed a former prime minister, former ministers and bureaucrats–and I continue to travel to Nepal for both academic and professional purposes including remotely maintaining my engagement with wider circles of intellectual communities in Nepal.

I incorporate my lived experience, professional and academic knowledge, and research to assist courts in writing country expert reports concerning Nepali culture, society, and politics. I have written many expert reports on Nepal for the courts, particularly in the UK, US, and EU countries. I have also provided testimonies for courts in these countries. My EIN profile provides more details.
