I am a PhD doctoral researcher at Birkbeck, the University of London. My research project investigates the domestic sources of Nepali foreign policy in a changed constitutional context in republican Nepal against the background of the 21st-century Sino-Indo rivalry in the wider Himalayas. This project is the outcome of my continuous research and engagement within the larger academic and intellectual communities following the completion of a postgraduate degree in Politics at the University of Kent in 2014.
Before I started a career in academia, I served in the British Army as a Gurkha soldier for several years and as an Officer Cadet with the University of London Officer Training Corps (ULOTC) during my time at university. Since then, my career has spanned working with charity and social enterprise projects and currently working as an Independent Consultant and Linguist while continuing with the research project.
